This painting is in oil on canvas. It's a depiction of Elric of Melniboné, a character from Michael Moorcock's universe of fantasy novels. I really enjoyed doing this piece and had a great deal of fun doing it. It was shown at the 1992 WesterCon in Phoenix (WesterColt 45) and won 1st prize in the Amateur category. Elric of Melniboné is copyrighted to Michael Moorcock.
