I painted this as my version of a still life. The 'flowers' are galaxies and other star clusters, and the 'vase' is a sphere embedded on a surface resembling a tabletop. It was a bit of fun and I just painted what came to mind then. You can see the influence of Van Gogh's 'Starry Night' in this.
